Tasting Notes
A riot of warm spice up front, malty Assam in the middle, sweet cardamom finish that lingers like a good story.
Black pepper and ginger bring the heat — never aggressive, always honest.
Green cardamom opens the cup with a perfumed, floral lift.
Strong Assam base gives body and a natural, honeyed sweetness.
A clove-warm finish that sits on the tongue long after the last sip.
Ingredients
Whole spices. No flavouring, no colour, no filler. If we can't pronounce it, it's not in here.
The Ritual
Masala chai is about patience. Don't steep — simmer. Let the spices open up.
1 cup water, 2 tsp Masala Mayhem. Bring to a gentle rolling boil.
Add 1 cup milk. Reduce heat and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Jaggery, sugar or honey to taste. Stir through.
Strain into your favourite cup. Drink while it's still loud.
The Story
Masala Mayhem was born in a cramped kitchen in Assam at 5 a.m., when our founder was tired of chai that tasted like nothing. So she threw in more cardamom. More pepper. A whole lot more attitude.
Every batch is blended by hand in small lots. We toast the spices just before packing so each pouch opens with that unmistakable first-day-of-monsoon smell.
